I'm going to see Alice in Wonderland in theaters tonight. Johnny Depp is great for getting fully enveloped in the characters he plays. That, and he makes nice eye candy. I'm a tightwad and won't pay the extra $3 to see it in 3D. That's the whole reason for going on Bargain Tuesday nights...to save money with reduced admission and free popcorn. I'm not about to shell out more for a movie than necessary. I have high expectations for this movie and hope those expectations are met.
Speaking of movies that didn't meet my expectations, I saw Fighting the other night on DVD. I heard great things about it. I must be getting my reviews from the wrong group of people because the movie bored me out of my skull. The last two minutes were the most climatic and even that wasn't worth watching the other 100 minutes that led up to it.
My youngest son was in his first official RC car race Saturday. He's been at the races playing the part of "pit crew" but he got to be a part of the action finally. When I stopped by there to see him, he was focused and giddier than a schoolgirl. I barely got in the door when he ran up to tell me "Mom, I got to race once already and I made last place. Yay!!!!" Now that's a boy with spirit!
Clear the sidewalks people; my oldest daughter got informed this week that she will be receiving her license in just a couple months if she passes her BTW class and tests. It's hard to imagine she'll be 16 shortly. I'll be having a "Shelby's Sweet 16 Celebration" blog event coming up in April. Be there or be square!
I was excited to hear of temps breaking 50 here. I was all pumped to get outside and see some sun. Guess I was fooled; it's been raining. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Kid with a drivers license? I do NOT look forward to those days.
We never see movies OUT. Way too expensive and they won't pause for potty breaks.
Happy RTT
I wouldn't pay an extra $3 either but than I'm so cheap I never go to the theater at all.
Thanks for visiting today.
I hate having to sit through a movie that stinks after every one said it was good.

My son just got his driver's license last week. He had his G1 (beginner) license for over a year, so the thought of him actually going out on his own now doesn't scare me...as much as it does my husband.
I am not looking forward to when Princess Nagger is old enough to get a license. I'm still searching for that 'pause' button! :)
I sent you an award just link to my blog to post it. Thanks
I am right there with ya. The cheaper I can get into a movie, the better. Heck I would even sit in somebodies lap if I could split the ticket price in half.
My daughter just turned 16 and she has her permit, but she is the worst driver ever, so her dad has the duty of giving her lessons. I just don't have the nerves to handle it. Good luck with yours driving.
My son is already driving, but the thought of my teen daughter (Shelbie) driving terrifies me. The child can't walk without bumping into something!
