Hot Locks - Doll Review & Giveaway

My youngest girl has very shiny, pretty hair. She likes it done up in different styles and seems to always be running her fingers through it.

Now she can keep her fingers out of her own hair (wishful thinking!) and play with the hair on the new Hot Locks dolls. Hot Locks are 4" tall dolls with long silky hair to comb and style. They premiered this month and are available exclusively at Wal-Mart and Toys 'R Us.

There are two categories of dolls - basic and deluxe. The basic version has four different dolls, as does the deluxe version. Each doll has long locks of hair, the basic having 14 inches and the deluxe having 28 inches.

I noticed that these dolls are cute and colorful. They are not made up to look older and their clothing is appropriate. Emma likes her new doll and enjoys making new hairdos with it. She received the Deluxe Doll - Sydney and has used the included barrettes and hair fall in her own hair to add pizazz.

The Deluxe Doll sets include a comb, four mini barrettes, a 12-inch hair fall with barrette for girl's hair, and a unique hair tool accessory. The hair accessory unique to The Hot Locks Deluxe Doll - Sydney is a hair dryer stamper that can be used for the girl to pretend she's drying her doll's hair, as well as a washable stamper to design the doll's hair or your child's hair with cute designs.




The basic set of dolls has one medium sized barrette and two mini barrettes, plus a styling comb.

These dolls are cute, age-appropriate, and fun. Some of the included accessories are rather small and may be easy to lose, so Emma has hers kept in a small tote when she's not playing with it.
