For unknown reasons our iguana, Sookie, died Friday night. She hadn't been looking like her normal self and things really went downhill Friday. My husband gave her a bath and within the half hour, she passed away. Our other iguana still seems healthy so I'm not sure what happened. Granted, it was just a lizard but the heartbreak in my kids' eyes was devastating. They were attached to Sookie and would hold her or let her crawl on them. My oldest son vowed he would give up all his worldly possessions, including his Nintendo DS and Wii games, if Sookie would just come back to life. Tears flowed like raindrops. The ground outside was hard as a rock and it was freezing cold, but we dug up what little ground we could and held a proper burial.
Anyone with a teenage girl knows it's the end of the world when a cell phone quits working. My daughter had enabled an option to enter a PIN # every time she received or made a text. It worked for a while but a glitch occurred and caused her phone to quit working all together. My mother offered to pick her up from school yesterday to take her to the cell phone company and get it fixed. Shelby called from the school phone after having waited for what seemed like forever to her to indicate that grandma had not yet showed up. I called my mom only to find out she was at the wrong school! All was well until my mom called back to tell me that she was in the parking lot of the wrong school and her car wouldn't start. I didn't have a vehicle at home to rescue either of them, so my brother-in-law graciously picked up my mother from the wrong school and my daughter from the right one.
I'm going to the salon later today to get my hair cut and colored. I'm ready for a change! If I like it, I will post pics. If not, it won't be any different than most other times I get something done with my hair.
Guess I have no more random things to post. I have people who stalk my blog and one is hounding me right now to get this over with so she can be nosy and see what I've been up to. Like I haven't already verbally told her!

I am so sad about the iguana! =( Poor kids.
My oldest daughter is Shelbie, and if her phone didn't work, I would not even want to be around her!
Thanks for stopping by.
Cut and color day is an awesome day!

Sorry about the iguana!
My brothers had pet iguanas. They were crushed when "Fluffy" died.
I love how the world comes to an end when someone's cell phone isn't working. I hope she recovers quickly!
Happy Tuesday!
That is funny. My daughter's cell phone has been acting up too. Strange. She said that it keeps turning on on it's own.
Sorry to hear about your pet.
Sorry to hear about the iguana. The loss of any pet is always sad. Good luck with the color. I hope it turns out well.
Cut and color day involves a $15 haircut from Super cuts and some $3 revlon coloring done myself. I should really treat myself better.
So sorry about the iguana. I don't want to think about when the dog goes. Both my kids flipped out over gold fish. It wasn't pretty.
I am so sorry for your family's loss. Losing a pet can be heartbreaking for children. My prayers go out to you.
Thanks ever so much for your visit to my blog and taking the time to leave a lovely comment. Have a great rest of the week.
