I'm Semi-Sorta Famous

I've got my 15 minutes of fame on TV. It's more like 15 seconds, but who's counting?!

Every year my family and I attend the local Home & Living Show. It features area businesses and services. We've been going every year for the past four years and I've even went so far as to take a vacation day from work just to go. It's something fun for a large family to do on the cheap.

Commercials have been playing to announce this year's dates for the Home & Living Show. Although I have yet to see it, I've been told that me, my husband, and the kids are shown on the commercial for quite a period of time.

It's funny the amount of calls I've gotten from people letting me know they've seen us on TV, like we're high status celebrities.

Next time I'll be sure to dress up for the event!

Well I guess I can now claim that I have visited a celebs blog. LOL

I would absolutely love to attend one of the Home shows. I have never been and probably never see one in my life time (we live in the sticks, no shows here), but I think that would be the coolest.

I had my 15 minutes of fame (well more like 2 minutes, but like you said, who is counting). I was on the news after my daughter passed away in a car accident at a dangerous spot in the road. It was very hard to not cry, but to get the message out of slowing down in a school zone, was well worth it. The state ended up putting in caution lights and lowered the speed to 35 in the area of her accident (but the 100 or so students that held a town meeting with the Oklahoma Senator was the true advocates for it).

When I saw myself on tv. I wanted to cry for myself cause I looked aweful. Puffy eyes and hair all amiss, but I would do it again to save just one mother for ever having to go through it.

Then during the Christmas holiday my middle daughter was on the evening news being interviewed for "Why we wait to doing our Christmas shopping on the last day". LOL She was famous at school the next day. She is my movie star anyway, so of course she hammed it up. LOL
