Fortune Cookie Soap - Review & Giveaway

Almost every week that I go grocery shopping, I am requested by the kids to pick up a couple bags of fortune cookies. They like them for the taste, the way they're shaped, and the fortune that awaits inside.

Although not edible, Fortune Cookie Soap has lots of soaps that are shaped just like fortune cookies. They are absolutely adorable and smell great too. Pumpkin, vanilla, white tea, and candy corn are just a small selection of the scents available. And yes, they are hollow and include a fortune just like an authentic fortune cookie!

I received the Pinkalicious Bath Gift Set for review. Before I even got to the soaps, I was instantly attracted to the packaging. The soaps were enclosed in a Chinese takeout box and adorned with a cute ribbon. Nestled inside the clear container were six fortune cookie soaps - two Pink Power, two Takes the Cake, and two The Great Grape.

All the girls in the house were clamoring for their own soap. I was kind and gave each girl a soap of their own. I ended up with two and they each received one. The scent of each soap was wonderful and the colors of each one were vibrant. Each of us had fun reading our fortunes and using the soaps in the shower.

I was also able to try the Sugar Daddy Bath Bomb scented like dragon's blood. I drew myself a bath one evening and placed the bath bomb into the water. I was entranced watching the bubbles appear and felt relaxed as I let the bath bomb do the work.

When I was a little girl the only place to get a fortune cookie--was in a Chinese restaurant. Once my family and I took a trip to San Francisco --and my sister chose a museum exhibit that was not for small children--I was about 7 so my Dad told me to choose something and he and I would do it. Well I loved fortune cookies--and I used to save my fortunes--one had the name of the company on the back and "San Francisco, CA" so I looked up the address in the phone book--and then found it on the map. We walked blocks through streets that looked like alleys --finally we found my fortune cookie factory --we went in and asked if we could buy some fortune cookies---they handed us a bag as big as I was and said $2--so my Daddy bought me 2 ---and they were so fresh and yummy---one of my favorite adventures from my childhood.
