Body Bar Flex - Review & Giveaway

I admit, I'm not the most motivated person in the world when it comes to exercising. It seems that some of the programs I've tried cost a lot of money or are hard to follow along to. Forget about the gym. I don't have the extra money for membership and don't want to show everyone my sweaty, jiggly body.



I don't have to worry about those things with Body Bar. Founded in 1987, Body Bar Inc. developed and introduced a line of steel fitness bars covered in easy grip, durable rubber. I received the Body Bar Flex and have found it to be one of the most simple pieces of exercise equipment I have ever used. This "weighted bar" supplies a maximum of 20 lbs of resistance when flexed. To me, it looks like a long shower rod.

The first time I used my Body Bar Flex, I was amazed at how easy the exercises were and wasn't quite sure if I was actually working out. There was no question about it the next day. I was feeling muscles in my body that I didn't know existed. My body definitely felt like it had been through a workout.



I've watched the Body Bar Flex Basics DVD a handful of times and have followed along with the instructor with my Body Bar Flex. At other times, I've exercised using the bar without watching the DVD. The instructor on the DVD explains the exercises in a way that are easy to understand and follow along to. It's not so high-paced or hard that I'm at a loss on how to do one exercise before going on to the next.

The bar itself is long, slender, and flexible. When I'm done using it, I stick it in a corner. There's no having to find a place to store it or fold it up to make it fit somewhere. My exercise routine since having the Body Bar Flex is to use it twice a week while exercising along with the DVD. The other days of the week I pick up the Body Bar Flex and exercise with it in between doing chores. Although I've not tried them myself, there are other DVDs available for purchase that concentrate on different areas such as deep definition and pilates.

I feel good using the Body Bar Flex and have noticed improvement. It is something I plan on continuing to use daily.
