Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs - DVD Review

If you've read my Overkill Much post, you know that I am a movie fanatic. I enjoy watching movies with my family. I'm a big kid in that I like to watch movies that are aimed towards the younger crowd as well. When I received Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on DVD, my husband and I gathered with the kids to watch it. I had mixed feelings about this one because the original Ice Age movie was a pleasure to watch, while the second one could have been better. This third installment of Ice Age redeemed the disappointment of the second movie. We all had our favorite moments that we talked about afterwards and found ourselves laughing throughout the movie. I have yet to see The Scrat Pack DVD that is available as part of a double DVD pack, but have intentions on grabbing up a copy and watching it. Scrat is one of my favorite characters from the movie so I have high hopes that this DVD is as good as the Ice Age movie. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a movie that I'd watch more than once and I recommend it as a family friendly movie.

Movie Synopsis:

In the coolest Ice Age adventure yet, Manny and the herd discover a lost world of ferociously funny dinosaurs, including a cranky T. Rex who's got a score to settle with Sid. Meanwhile, Scrat goes nuts over the beautiful Scratte, but is she trying to win his heart - or steal his acorn?

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs features hilarious performances from Ice Age veterans Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, and Josh Peck. It also features newcomers Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Jane Lynch, and Simon Pegg.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is available on DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The standard DVD is available for the retail price of $29.98. The three-disc BD/DVD combo pack is available for a suggested retail price of $39.99. Also available is the Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs "Scrat Pack" Double DVD Pack, that is available for a limited time only featuring an overload of special features focusing on Scrat.
