Coupons are a staple for me when shopping. I cannot imagine paying full price for something when I can get it at a reduced price. I had been using a coupon holder of sorts to compile all my coupons. Although it worked fine for the most part, I had a problem with the coupons easily falling out.
I received the Coupons A La Cart Coupon Carton , which was innovated by Patty Sachs in 1980, and was immediately set to try it. It is made of sturdy cardboard and needed some assembling. It reminded me of assembling a pizza box in that I needed to fold corners and tabs. This did not require a lot of work, just some knowing of how to insert tabs and corners in certain places. It came with instructions on how to get your carton all set up. Being already assembled would be more preferred, but I imagine that it's better with the mail system that it comes packaged flat.
Included were divider cards with category stickers to sort your coupons for certain types of products. Or you can write on the divider cards yourself to your liking. What I like most about the Coupons A La Cart Coupon Carton is that it can be placed on the handle of your shopping cart. This makes it easy to look at your coupons at a glance to know which ones you have. I also have room in it to include a calculator and pen.
When not in use, the carton stays closed with a velcro fastener so my coupons do not scatter everywhere. This is a nice system to keep your coupons organized and at hand when shopping. I'd like to see more designs available. As of this time, there is only one.
You can watch a TV appearance clip of Patty Sachs with her Coupons A La Cart here.

I need to do this: Schedule a few times a week for clipping, sorting and initialing the coupons, but not on the barcodes. Give the children a rotation
I just went to a Redplum event and they are a great place for coupons
