Overkill Much

The other day some of my kids were having a Webkinz war. They got out every one of the boys' Webkinz and I took notice that they have way too many! The boys have close to 50 of these virtual creatures. And that doesn't count the ones that two of my step-daughters own. Granted, they play online with them and play with the stuffed animals themselves. But overkill is the first word that came to mind when I saw the stuffed animals all laid out.


But then I took inventory of how many DVDs I've purchased and own. Heck, I haven't even watched some of them. To argue for my side, most of them have been purchased at a discounted price being previously viewed. But I'd be a hypocrite if I said I didn't have a collection of unneeded purchases.



Even my teenage daughter has a collection obsession....books. These are books that she owns that she still has to get around to reading. She is a bookworm like her mama and enjoys curling up to a good book.


So, I'll leave the kids to their Webkinz and books. As long as there's no argument about my next DVD purchase.
