Blog Hop - Anything That Feels Good

The theme for this week's blog hop is 'Anything That Feels Good'. It can be a joke, an inspirational story, a photo, or whatever will makes you feel good. With that, I'll leave you with a story:

Sunday I hosted a Pampered Chef party in my home. My 10 yoa son decided he wanted to buy me something with the money he received from his aunt to spend on as he wished. I told him that was not necessary and to keep his money to buy himself something. Unbeknownst to me until after the fact, he placed an order and bought me two cookbooks. He was so proud of himself that he bought me something.

I was touched by his generosity and how he thinks so much of me to buy me something. The cookbooks will look so nice on my bookshelf. I thought he knew by now that I'm no Betty Crocker. I've made a mental promise to myself that I will attempt a few of the recipes in the cookbooks when I receive them, but I'm not responsible for cooking disasters that ensue.

He's such a thoughtful kid with a heart of gold.

That made my heart happy! I love when kids learn to give! Hopefully you can find some easy recipes in those books that the family will love. :)
