Fun At The Library

Juliann and Logan making tiger face masks

Our local library has kicked off it's summer reading program. Last weekend, they had an event to kick off the program. I loaded up some of the kids and took off for it. The kids got to make animal masks, pet animals, jump in a bounce house, eat popcorn, and more. The only downside was the long wait lines. This is our third year participating in the program and I've gotta say, I love it! It gets the kids excited about reading and there's lots of great activities to do. This summer, because of the reading program, my kids will read books to earn prizes. They'll also get to see exotic animals, see snakes, see bugs/insects, and make crafts. ALL FOR FREE! The library also offers an adult reading program, which I've signed up for. I have to read any 5 books and will receive a travel mug and coffee certificate upon completion. So, I'm up for suggestions on any good reads that I should check out at my local library.

It's great the the local libraries do that! Ours does similar programs and the kids always enjoy them.

I love the library, but my problem is I love too many books and not enough time to read them!! Lol, welcome to SITS!
